Preparations for Evesham Regatta
Posted on April 23, 2007 | Filed under Rowing
Evesham Rowing Club is busy preparing for its main event of the season – Evesham Regatta. With several thousand rowers and spectators set to descend on the town over the May Bank Holiday weekend for one of the biggest events in the rowing calendar, club officials are predicting that this year’s regatta will break all records. Entries for the event are already up on 2006 – a record year- with more than a week to go until entries close.
Refreshments will be available from the club house on Saturday and Sunday and with excellent viewing from Crown Meadow and Abbey Park the club invites the people of Evesham to come and cheer on their local crews.
