About
Evesham Rowing Club was founded in 1863, by twelve townsfolk eager ‘to pursue the manly and innocent recreation of rowing’. Much water has flowed past the landing stage since the inaugural meeting, and today Evesham is a very active rowing club and a truly multi-sport club.
There are 740 members divided amongst different sports, with many partaking in more than their own particular passion.
Facilities
- Six all weather tennis courts with floodlighting
- Three squash courts
- The largest weight-lifting section in the West Midlands
- Function room

Adult rowing: the September rowing courses are now full. Our next adult beginners’ courses start in January 2012. Spaces are limited so please let us know asap if you’re interested in taking part.
Under 18s: We admit junior rowers in School Year 9 via our Learn to Row programme in Prince Henry’s and Evesham High Schools which starts in March of each year. If you do not attend school in Evesham or you are below school year 9 then please contact Jane Sullivan to put your name on the waiting list for either our Diddy Squad (ages 11-13) or our next Wet Start course (next May).
If you are a junior who has already rowed at another club or school we may be able to slot you into the current squad - once again, contact Jane Sullivan for details.
